STORY
Construction of the building complex "Vladimirskaya, 49" began in 1845
The building itself, No. 49B, was constructed in 1912. Its architectural forms were characterized by neoclassicism, a modification of the retrospective Art Nouveau movement. It reflected the general mood of the "Silver Age," which reflected the glory of the "Golden Age" of Russian culture and the aesthetic preferences of the wealthy landowners who owned the mansion.
In 1986, the building was registered as an architectural monument. Over the course of nearly 20 years, the façade was periodically reconstructed, resulting in the mansion losing some of its original architectural character.
In September 2006, reconstruction work on the building began.
